Hello all you nice people. Can you please help with picking the parts for a new gaming pc??

The budget is $1700 (there is no rule that says it can't be under the budget but it cannot exceed it). The system must be as quiet as possible. I want components with 0db where possible (ie. Corsair RM series PSU). I don't need windows on my case, I don't care what the inside looks like. No color coordination is required. A solid side cover on the case is welcome if it improves noise dampening. The budget will not count towards OS or peripherals (I already have mouse, keyboard, monitor). I can scrounge for a 1TB HDD but the build must contain at least a 240GB SSD for OS and Steam.

This will be a 1440p gaming pc with maybe occasional streaming.

Thank you for your time.

Just set the fans to run at low speed and you won't even hear it.

Tadaa..

That was freaking fast...

OK, it looks I forgot a few important things here.

1. I am a little of a nVidia fanboy (don't ask me why, I know it's stupid, it's just me, I'm sorry).

2. I am indeed in the US.

3. I want all the parts to be from the same retailer because I want to be able to order all parts at once and from the same place so they can all be delivered in the same day. I will die if I have to stare at an entire PC because my RAM or SSD or whatever, hasn't arrived yet.

4. Which is more silent, Noctua NH-D15 or NZXT Kraken X61 (it's only about $20 between them)

5. Dude, I'm not buying $30 case fans... I don't care if they're made from fairy dust... I'm thinking some BitFenix Spectre Pro or something

Is going for a 4790k instead of 4690k just wasteful??

Is it justifiable to go for 16GB of RAM and just forgetting about it forever?? Especially with DDR3 prices being what they are...

1. Vapor-X is extremely dead silent and performs as well as a 780 Ti

2. Yay?

3. I an redo the list for that

4. Noctua, pretty much as always

5. Noctua's fans can spin so slow you will never hear them and still move air

6. Only if you aren't going to be using the extra cores for stuff

7. Yeah, if you're starting to chew through 8 especially.
