LTT 3DMark Thread

74% on gpu 1 and 79% on gpu 2. i knoticed that it seems to be locked at 185fps in the graphics test for some reason

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/4973130?

Have you considered the possibility that you might be CPU bound.?

Try downclocking your CPU 100Mhz & see if that has a dramatic effect on your Graphics score or that 185 FPS.

Its not CPU bound, its driver or softwear bound.

I actually bought an Asus STRIX GTX980 ASIC 76.9%. This bad boy will go due to the silence of the card into my HTPC. Just messing around with it for now ;) .

Its not CPU bound, its driver or softwear bound.

Considering this guy has around 600 fps on GT1 & GT2

http://www.3dmark.com/sd/2565123

Unless Jumper118 has some driver screwup on his PC, he should be CPU bound. There is no software limitation from 3Dmark's side.

This is easy to test as I said anyways, takes 1 run of the benchmark.

That is Skydiver not Firestrike dude.

That's what exactly I am saying.

This test is really easy to run.

So when he is running the Bench on his SLi 970s the only thing stopping him from getting more FPS is how fast his CPU can feed the information to his GPUs.

On Fire strike, because of the Graphics are so hard to run, the GPUs are the bottleneck, even if you have an Octa core giving the GPU information, the GPU cannot process it faster than the CPU.

You can see this while moving from FireStrike -> FireStrike Extreme -> FireStrike Ultra.

There is a guy with a 2600K on the Top 10 Single GPU of FS Ultra, because it doesn't matter if he has a 2600K, its his GPU that is limiting him from getting a higher score.

Top 20* for FS Ultra SIngle GPU but anyways his issue is not a CPU issue its a driver/softwear issue.

Nope, it is Top 10, just realized its 2 of them

Spot 5 with a 4790K, http://www.3dmark.com/fs/3370708

Spot 7 with a 2600K, http://www.3dmark.com/fs/3261784

Since you don't have any proof for your theory, I say the guy rather try the test.

I am not saying that I am the God Almighty and I can't be wrong, I just have a storng feeling its the CPU.

As I said easy 5 mins test.

So are AMD Graphics Driver not approved submissions acceptable here.?

I know the OP says only valid results, but there is nothing wrong with my result except that Futuremark has not added the Driver to their database.

Was thinking of submitting my old result here:- http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/4809062

Yes we are hehe :) . But I just benchmarked with the 3way. I still need to run Unigine Valley just to see where I´m at but in all reality I run atm a 2560x1440 monitor. There´s no need for a 3way SLI. I have to travel a bit more next year and had in my HTPC just the GTX750Ti and that´s not enough for me, so the 3rd GTX980 will go into that machine when I travel, that´s why I bought the Asus STRIX :).

Yeah something's wrong with that, because you scored less than me, and your system is higher clocked than mine in both CPU and GPU aspects. http://www.3dmark.com/fs/3489139

I know Windows 8 artificially inflates the score of Firestrike runs, but I don't get why it would rip apart the runs in Windows 10 so badly. That's worse than the lower runs Windows 7 have.
