Alright and while you guys kept on benchmarking I thought I should push my 980s in FireStrike a bit harder myself, old score was at 22589 ;) .

Benchmark: Fire Strike

CPU: i7 5930K
GPU: GTX 980 2way SLI
GPU Core: 1404 MHz
GPU Memory: 2013 MHz
Score: 22714

3DMark Link: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/4935779?

I even swtiched my Wattsmeter in between to see what the maximum power draw oow is.

Maxed it out with a peak of 641Watts with all case fan, GPU fans and water cooling fans running on 100%. Pictures follow.

641W is not bad at all for that kind of performance!

Yeah that´s true but there two things to say to this.

First of all Maxwell is a fine chip but isn´t that low on power draw when heavy OCed but still way better than Hawaii or Kepler. And second I see so many people in the forums asking how big their PSU should be for a GTX970/GTX980 2 way SLI. The GTX970 will draw a bit less I guess but so many people tell them to buy like 800W+ PSUs... sure a bigger PSU with Platinum rating isn´t bad to have because it runs a bit more efficient. But I see over and over again that many people just blabber crap that they´ve heart somewhere...

Its never a bad thing to get a good 800W+ PSU for a nice a hearty 12V Rail Amperage.

I should be getting at least 1 1600W soon, and then gonna be picking up 2-3 more of them for running cards to their full potential on a separate PSU.

I´m going to buy a new PSU with GM200 my Corsair AX860 is a good PSU but I´ll probably end up with a 1200Watts.

If I could get real Super Flower PSU's I would be so happy but since I can't I will settle for a few 1600 P1's

That´s really extreme for a 770... it´s as greedy as a R9 290 lol :) .

The results would be around the same with an i5 4690k heavily overclocked. But after all this is just a bench mark and not a game.
