LTT 3DMark Thread

I know Windows 8 artificially inflates the score of Firestrike runs, but I don't get why it would rip apart the runs in Windows 10 so badly. That's worse than the lower runs Windows 7 have.

Its about 4.5K lower then my windows 7 runs, so not software its something to do with the coding in the current build of Windows 10

No, I mean, firestrike is coded for Windows 8. Simply being on Win 8 gives a big boost to your score. I was saying the win 10 low score is hugely lower than even the win 7 runs.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

Like I was saying I score around 13600-13700 in Windows 7 on average for Firestrike so its a bug in the coding for Windows 10 thats causing issues overall for me with game performance.

Last time I ran valley I only scored 2800 points with SLI enabled at my bench marking overclocks of 1390 Core and 2003 memory

Don't be too hard on Windows10 now, it isn't there yet with the code and the drivers. I'm sure we will see something acceptable down the road when it's released and got like hundreds of updates lol ;) .

Same with Windows8, before 8.1 you couldn't really buy this being an OC guy.

Yeah its just its getting to the point now were the boot loader has a confict with my external now so its in need of a new build for it.

As for Windows8.1 it's okay for an overclocker now but still, when dialing in the CPU,RAM or GPU it's pain in the butt. As far as Win7 goes it's just a simple reboot but Win8.1 with it's stupid blue screen and sad smiley face... every time I see that I could go in enrage mode ;) .

GPU's for me has been a pain in the butt no matter the OS. CPU and Ram have been a bit more forgiving.

Since I'm not OCing my GPUs as crazy as you do ;) it's okay for me since under Win8.1 most of the time just the driver crashes. Usually I dial fresh in anyways and reboot but as far as Haswell E on X99 goes this is more a pain because it's like you ask Win8.1 to crash haha :D .

Holy hell that's impressive for a card that only has a single 8-pin and PCI-E power for it.

@KingCry I am a rather happy fella at the moment :D

Hell I was impressed when 1 of my 770's broke the 1.4Ghz mark when I was doing some stuff with Firestrike. So I know the feeling all to well.

I think if I put my card to 1.4GHz core it'd crash so hard it'd uninstall the drivers xD

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

Probably since I am doing 1.3V on the cards only on Air at those speeds.

Most I can do on my card is 1.1v xD. I've gotten 1100/1500 stable on single card in BF4, but I haven't tried 3D mark with it. I might try later with 3.9GHz on my CPU and see if it works. I'll probably need another 330W adapter to get them much higher in SLI though.

I'll post my results here later on tonight when I get home from work.  Glad I found this thread, there's some interesting results in the doc so far.  I didn't read if this was pointed out though: some of the links to the 3DMark scores are accidentally linking to the individual's scores for FireStrike Extreme, not the regular FireStrike test.  Perhaps they need to re-run their tests and re-submit the scores, otherwise pull up their saved scores?
