I bought a SAPPHIRE Radeon R9 280X and it just arrived in the mail. I was going over everything before I did my upgrade and I noticed that the R9 280X says it recommends a 750W PSU. My current PSU is only 700W.

I live in NY and my budget is around $80 USD though I might be able to go a bit higher.

This is the PSU I own currently: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817148046

Here is the card I just bought: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202046

Current Rig is:

Gigabyte B75M-D3H Motherboard

ASUS HD7770-2GD5 Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5

Intel i5-2320 Quad core 3GHz CPU

8GB of Corsair XMS3 DDR3 RAM

Windows 7

Zalman Z11 Plus case

Do I need to upgrade? If so which PSU should I buy? If I missed anything please let me know and I'll do my best to fill it in.

Not a single graphics card can even draw 700W (No, not even the R9 295X2). 700W is sufficient for 2-way CF on the R9 280x lol. Sapphire lists a massive overkill for the PSU. A 500W PSU is more than enough for the R9 280x.

Alright, it's just confusing because the box says 750W PSU recommended for single card use. You're saying I can ignore that?

Yes. I would still upgrade the PSU though. This one isn't even 80+ certified. If you plan to stick to only 1 graphics card then the CS550M is more than enough for your needs.

You don't even need anywhere near 750w are a single card like ever (unless titan z or 295x2)

A 295x2 can exceed 800W on full system load...

I know, it should have said "You don't even need anywhere near 750w are a single card like ever (unless it's a titan z or 295x2)"

I could get a Rosewill CAPSTONE-750-M 750W Continuous @ 50°C, Intel Haswell Ready, 80 PLUS GOLD, ATX12V v2.31 & EPS12V v2.92, SLI/CrossFire Ready, Modular Active PFC Power Supply for $70 after mail in rebate. Is this a good PSU? Do I need to upgrade at all? I still need help with this question.
