I have used it for a while now and I think its fairly good, if you use the free version the audio files aren't the highest quality but i find that there is little difference and it is nice for listening to songs while I wait to save up money to buy them. If however I just wanna listen to an album like 4 times then never listen to it again spotify is the best for that.

Its a good service, only the price is a bit high, when I'm commuting I don't always have reliable internet connection and downloading songs is only supported for premium members. And although the service is good, I don't think it is worth 10eu per months for premium when I can simply use the piratebay or Youtube dl's for my offline needs. When you have a reliable internet connection though Spotify is really great.

I use Spotify Premium and I love it so much. I use it everyday, they have most (but not all) of the songs I want, and I could not live without it.

I am in the UK so have has Spotify for a good few years with a premium subscription.

I can't fault it much apart from it sometimes not having some of the more obscure tracks or artists. but this normally comes down to the record labels or the artists themselves not letting spotify stream their music.

I use the desktop app pretty much every day and the mobile apps daily for my commute to and from work, being able to easily download tracks to your phone for offline listening is great. Yes there are cheaper ways to get music on your phone but hey I like simple.

There is a linux desktop version available for the penguins among us, I have used this and again no issues but as you would expect there is proprietary stuff in it.

have a look at google music as well, they offer a similar service but I only used it for about a day so I am not sure of the music library or compatibility between devices.

I see no benefit over XBox Music subscription, which is available in Canada since a few years already, and has a vast amount of music.

My only complain about it, is that you can't have a radio based on genre. The radio system works based on the artists you are listening with, where it looks at its bio, and fetch other artists songs that was influence, or have influence the artists you are listening with, or has work with, and so on. So I get why there isn't by genre, but it would be nice. Sometimes you just want to listen a genre, and discover music that way. But beside that, great service.

I see no benefit from Spotify over XBox Music, at least for now.

Unless you enjoy video ads, which will be now playing with Spotify.
