All-rounder headphones

I'm looking for headphones that will work for gaming, watching movies and on the go, listening to music. I use in-ear earphones listening to music and a gaming headset for home use but I want something that can look good outdoors yet sound great anywhere.

I considered the Sennheiser HD598 but I've heard mixed reviews about the sound. I'm a novice when it comes to audio.

Any help or direction will be appreciated.

Thanks

Open back headphones outside? No thanks. Unfortunately, you can't have the best of both worlds. For indoor use, I'd look into the HD 650's for all genres and gaming. For outdoor use, I prefer the V-Moda M100's to everything else on the market.

You're best off trying a pair at your local shop.

Why can't any company make a headphone that's open, but comes with a pair of shielding. When you install the shields, voila, it's closed back. Might destroy the resulting sounds completely though....

Such a system would be impractically bulky.
