VRAM on 1200p or 1440p.

Winther

There would be a VRAM bottleneck in Crysis 3 at that resolution.

True, without AA it might be ok, I never got to test. I don't really run any games with any AA at 1440p, I find the difference isn't worth the potential performance hit.

I dont see more than 4GB being needed until we go past 2560x1600 to 4k
1920x1200 = 2,304,000 pixels. From what I've seen 1-2GB is enough.

2560x1600 = 4,096,000 pixels. Twice the pixels, so I wouldn't expect to need more than 2-4GB.
3840x2160 = 8,294,400 pixels. Again double the pixels, giving us 6-8GB.

Absolutely, but if I have to pick between 1080p with AA and 1440p without AA, I'll choose 1440p :D But you're right, 1440p with AA is damn nice...

I can only imagine, I wish I had the money to get that nice 30" Dell monitor, but I'm more than happy with my U2713HM :D

you can get a Yamakasi monitor with that resolution for around $400-500 on eBay. I have the overclocked one and the picture quality is amazing.

Yeah, I was strongly considering that but I wanted a monitor that had a better warranty and was more likely to function when I receive it. I didn't want to take the risk, but I am going to be getting a second monitor and it will be a Catleap or Leonotis. :D I just want to make sure I'll have one that will work/be easily replaceable.
