"Lenovo launches sleek 8 inch tablet, starting at $199"

Source 1: http://www.androidauthority.com/lenovo-tab-s8-519854/

Source 2: http://www.phonearena.com/phones/Lenovo-Tab-S8-50_id8885

Specs

-8" 1920x1200 display (slim bezels!)

-Quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 (64-bit Bay Trail processor)

-2GB of RAM

-16GB of storage

-4,290mAh battery

-Bluetooth 4.0

-Dolby dual front speakers

-8MP rear camera

-1.6MP front camera

-Android 4.4 KikKat

-LTE model will be available at a higher price

Wow that is...amazing... You're getting all of that for a mere $200. That's quite the deal (and quite the power house!). Unlike some other Chinese mobile manufacturers (XIAOMI!), the Lenovo TAB S8 will be available in the USA and other countries. It'll be available sometime in September via major retailers (online and brick and mortar I'm assuming), and of course it'll also be available on Lenovo's website.

I was looking to get a tablet, and I think I just found the winner. You get great specs at a fairly cheap price, and it looks amazing!

Except 2-in-1s usually cost more than $200...

Except this is much smaller and cheaper. I have never found my self wishing I had a keyboard for my Nexus 7

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Does it have anyway to add more storage?

Unfortunately there is no option for extra storage.

EDIT: The source says that there will be multiple models available. I'm assuming that there will be a 32GB and 64GB model available. I sure hope so anyways...

I've never found one with good construction. Can you recommend one?

My dad have an Intel Bay Trail Android tablet. Virtually no development community for rooting/custom ROMs/kernels, etc.

at some point they have to, these atoms CPU's are as good as the current snapdragon chips, and the apps problems are almost solved, java apps work perfectly fine and i think native apps is practically just recompile them, and intel released software to make porting even much easier

I've never found one with good construction. Can you recommend one?

MS has one, kinda decent though ofc in only works with windows nvm, the other response is a much better one

this is one of the greatest thing that has happened to me recently, and it happened on this forum, those involved have my eternal gratitude http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/198850-update-alex-got-his-moto-g2-lets-get-a-moto-g-for-alexgoeshigh-unofficial/ :')

i use to have the second best link in the world here, but it died ;_; its a 404 now but it will always be here

Just my opinion, but I'd wait for broadwells better battery life before buying a new tablet.  That and these things should be on a big sale come Christmas/post broadwell release.

Although this is quite a nice looking tablet (got to love that Lenovo design) what I really hope this does is enable Intel to get into the portable devices market, although Snapdragon is all nice and dandy I like intel more and their chips are amazing
