Just uncheck the 'only when capturing' box... <_<

Hello,

So I tried to look this up on google, but it's really impossible to wade through all the FPS increase topics.

I'm trying to simply limit my framerate to 60, but it's proving harder than it should.

I'm using a Tekkit Lite server (78mods) and version 1.4.7 Client. These are the video options;

Vsync limits it to 60, but causes it to spike below allot, it's really horrible. And the performance options max fps and balanced are the same, power save tanks fps to 35.

Anyone know of a easy mod to specify the maximum framerate? I could just run it unlocked, but it really heats up the PC (it's completely passive).

regards,

majestic.

Y U WANT ONLY 60 FPS?!?!?!?!

i always go max because when there is a bunch of tnt my frames drop from 145 down to 76, so im always abouve 60 fps, if i limit it to only 60, then it ALWAYS spikes below, i place down 9 tnt and im screwed and running at like 23 fps, so run at max, there isent a befit to lowering it, unless you are getting stupid high fps, like 600, then limit it to like 100.

EDIT: just read the last line, get optifine, and you can limit it, except im not sure if you can in the 1.4 version.

btw, tekkit lite SUCKS

Set the max framerate slider to 60.

Obviously you're using a way outdated version which doesn't have this feature, so you will need to use something like bandicam or fraps to limit fps.

Mine does; http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/183-show-off-your-setup/page-316#entry2836971

However, running 120fps kinda makes it to 70 deg (yes the whole case). Which is still perfectly fine, but rather unnecessary.

Get optifine.

Will check that out, thanks.

Yeah this version doesn't have that fps slider, maybe ill run a different server that is able to run a newer client version or try bandicam.

Thanks for the replies so far.

EDIT: Bandicam framelimit works like a charm, case solved and thanks @Enderman.
