Say something like "there are plenty of fish in the ocean" but say it in tech/nerdy talk like " There are plenty of Games on steam" (maybe not the best one)

 

But say the real phrase then the tech/nerdy version

 

That way if you see a guy into tech you can cheer him up :D

I think the "There are plenty games on steam" analogy is apt. Some games are cheap, some games are good, some games are immature and not ready to be released. But at the end of the day, you still have to drop some cash to buy the game to play. Sometimes to play those games you need certain system requirements, like a minimum GPU and CPU.

EDIT: Or you can go to your buddies and play games with them.
