I once downloaded left 4 dead 2 and its size was just 1 GB instead of 7 GB.It was so much compressed.Since that day I have been searching a tool that could compress anything like that!

Btw sorry for pirating the game.I just did that to check how it is and then I bought it from steam.

win far,win zip and 7 zip are shit They don't compress anything! Even if they do,they just compress 1% if the file!

Compression just basically means eliminating needless data or reducing the quality of video and audio files. It depends on what files you try to compress but it can do a good job.

Which means L4D2 is a lot of useless extra data that could just be shortcutted in the game files instead. :P

If you have a PC with a processor running about 3Ghz and memory higher than 3GB, then use KGB Archiver.

You'll be able to reduce a file's size to a fourth or even fifth of the original using maximum compression and PAQ6 algorith. Do note that it's a very slow process.
