So as the title says, my PC has been getting the infamous BSOD, when I try to render a scene with vray in C4D.

Everything works great for gaming, and even fluid simulations.

I can't really think of what might cause this as my CPU should definitely handle this kind of work + my PC is pretty new (I built it in late May).

Though my initial guess was that the CPU was overheating, So I ran RealTemp while I tried to render and 2nd time, and the temp's on my CPU didn't even go above 50°C.

My second guess was that the power consumption was too high for my PSU, but it seems unlikely to me. And I'm unfamiliar on how I can test this.

My specs are:

CPU - Intel Core i7 4930k Ivy Bridge-E

CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i

PSU - Corsair AX860i, 860W

MBoard - Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3

GPU - EVGA GTX 780Ti

RAM - 16GB Kingston 1600Mhz

Any ideas on how I might be able fix this?

Thanks!

EDIT: So the BSOD issue is caused by a "Kernel-Power id 42 task 63", i have no idea what it means.

Whats your power supply? Are you using Cuda vray or normal vray?

Edit: it was in your post :/ Make sure all your ram is seated correctly and all the plugs pushed in
