My parts came in and I need to ground myself.. But im not sure how.

 

I got an anti static wrist band from ebay but all the metal shit around the house is painted so what do i do?

 

It doesnt matter if it is painted,

 

Alternatively, clip it to your case or power supply, leave the power cable in, but leave the power socket off, this also works as a ground

Plug your power supply into the wall and turn it off. Then attach the crocodile clip to the metal grating on the PSU.
