Google fiber is an amazing thing, just wish it wasn't so expensive.

Its what... $80 a month or so? that's what I already pay for internet, and I get 30Mb/s down, 6Mb/s up...

I think it's a one time fee of $300 for installation, and it's free forever, and it's 5 mbps down and 1 mbps up. The $70 a month plan is 1gbps (1000 mbps) down and up.

Hell I'd pay the $300 and $70 a month for those speeds no questions asked.

I don't think many Americans are aware their city probably has fiber already laid not being used because of lobbyist assholes preventing it and their local government is too cowardly to tell the greedy ISPs to sod off and instill manciple fiber internet instead.
