but the speed of the GPU will be equal to dual 270s

Yes you can crossfire a 270X with a 270, both are equaly 7870 pitcaim gpu´s.

The 270 is only lower clocked, but this should not be a problem.

The 270X will slightly clocked down, but not by much.

 

You could also overclock the 270 to 270X stock speeds, but this can be a bit tricky.
