I am thinking off getting some Corsair SP120's  and replacing the stock fans on the H100i, In your opinion, aside from an aesthetics point of view, would the replacement of the fans help at all with temps etc?

Right now my 4770K is on stock speeds.. Can't Overclock at all without a crash..

On full load prime 95 small fft my temps are 85c and that worries me.

My fan speeds are 1200RPM

I am thinking of remounting the cooler again. I have done it already and it was on there really good but I guess I can try. My fans are in push. and it is mounted inside my case blowing air out.

Damn those are quite high temperatures. Maybr try remounting and adding a new thermal paste. But if you're really trying to get far with the fans. The temperatures will probably drop only a few degrees, at best. But the premium fans will produce less noise, and have better quality.

Damn that's high.Maybe there is something wrong with the thermal paste of the pump and for the fans Corsair SP120 is fine but if you can get some nf-f12

ps:the fans will only improve the cooling by about 10-20% 20 being the best your problem is somewhere else

How hot is the air in your case.  Maybe have them intaking with a filter.

You also might want to check your pump and see if its working properly.

That is why it worries me. Temps are really high. Granted I am not running it at this type of load but still, compared to others mine are out of the park hot. And I would get the black/brown Noctua fans even though the price is higher. I will remount later on and see what my temps are like

It is running at 4400RPM and I do not hear any rattling or anything coming from the pump itself. And I do not really have anything that I can use to properly test the air inside the case.

@Smeyer40 What cooler are you running? I'm going to guess the stock cooler that comes with the 4770K (correct me if I'm wrong). I'd advise if you're not keen on overclocking undervolting the cpu so that it runs at a lower temperature to voltage ratio with the same frequency & try again with re-pasting with a new thermal paste. Maybe the chip happens to be a undercut 4770K.

What's the idle then load temperatures without running heavy duty cpu stress-tests? also what's your rooms ambient temperature?

You don't really need to buy the NF-F12 PPC however you should try getting the NF-F12s. <- good performance sp/af fans.

I have 2 gpus that dump some seriously hot air into my case so I had to end up intaking with my h100i, and once I did that my temps dropped significantly.

Yea.. I have 2 GPU's also, I am going to do the easy thing 1st and switch the placement of my fans, I am thinking in push going from outside of the case to the inside. If it works and my temps drop a lot the I will save a good amount of money and I will just get a filter.

And yea.. The name is in the title. I have never used the stock cooler. But thanks for caring enough to reply!

Chances are the H100i is not making proper contact, it is notorious for this and I generally urge people to stay away from the H100i.

Here is a thread explaining the mounting issue, hope it helps.

I dunno, I don't have that cooler and I'm not sure what the best/safest kind of washer would be.

So even after a remount and adding thicker washers these are my temps after running prime 95  for 5 minutes using small FFT

Did you set your voltage to manual mode before running P95?  That is another variable that you need to correct.

Set your voltage to manual before running any kind of stress test, particularly Prime95.  You run the risk of damaging your chip if you run stress tests in adaptive mode.

Your temperatures are high, but the solution to the problem might be as simple as turning your voltage to manual/override.

Ok, in the future please make sure you set voltage to override before stress testing, its more of a safety thing for your processor than anything else.

Are you sure that your pump and fans are running at full speed?  Are they on their separate fan header and you are controlling them independently?
