I was thinking of getting a new cooler for my Core i5 3570K because my Hyper 212 is not enough for my CPU being clocked at 4.4Ghz so I wanted to get this (http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=35&lng=en). What do you think?

Yea but I would like it if the cooler didn't stick 5 feet off the motherboard.

I have both the Noctua NH-D14 and the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 2. I got the Be Quiet cooler because I think it looks much better than my old Noctua cooler. Both cool basically just as well (I think the Be Quiet cools my 3570K a degree or two better).

The mounting mechanism on the Noctua cooler is BY FAR superior, it's so much easier. The Dark Rock Pro 2 is pretty much only possible if you have a removable motherboard tray or if you can/want to remove your motherboard. They are both pretty expensive but both are definitely worth it.

I think a H100i with aftermarket fans is pretty much the best cooler you can get without going custom loop. it maybe out perform all the others but build quality and warrenty push it over the edge for me.

Someone clearly hasn't heard of either the Thermaltake Water Extreme 2.0 or the Swiftech H220.

But really, if you want to get the best air cooling solution, the Noctua NH-D14 is the way to go. I'm using it at a 4.2GHz Overclock at max out at 50°C at 23°C ambient. There are some air cooling solutions from Thermaltake and Prolimatech that perform equally, but I think (at least the Prolimatech one) is more expensive.

The Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 2 like Tardbarn is a very good cooler. The Thermalright Silver Arrow is also a good choice.
