Hello, I recently realized that my powerline adapter was a little slow when I noticed that the connectivity light was orange or red instead of green (Green is higher speed, orange is less, and red is the slowest). Then when I turned off my monitor I noticed that the light was green again. And as soon as I turned the monitor on again, it went back to orange. I tested the speeds with speedtest.net and got around 24 Mbs download with the monitor on, and 44 Mbs with the monitor off. The powerline adapter is plugged directly into the wall, and my monitor along with my PC are plugged into a surge protector that is on the same outlet. Anybody have any solutions to this?

My monitor is an Asus PB278Q

Powerline adapter: TP-Link TL-PA511 500Mbs

yes

Try using a power bar without a surge protector.

actually i believe that it is not a surger protector after all

I Tried to plug the monitor in a separate outlet, then also tried just moving the powerline adapter to a different outlet. Neither helped

I think you have to plug the powerline thingy directly into the wall socket, or at least here in Sweden.
