 i know a lot of people love this microphone solution and i'm sure some of you have been voting for this to come to massdrop on various polls and its finally here for $35  or $40 for the one with the inline mute. that's a 20% savings from the retail price

 

at this point there's no option to add more clasps in case you have a lot of headphones you use but if you want more maybe suggest it in the discussion section of the drop

yes, the quality is great, Linus has a video on it with an audio sample.

iv been using it for a while as a replacement for my old desktop mic and i just find its a lot nicer to use since you don't need to keep for face in front of or the same distance from the desk microphone else the audio levels change

I've had my eye on the mod mic for quite some time. This deal was enough for me to finally pull the trigger. Hopefully I won't have any issues mounting it to HD 558s.  :)
