Need help deriving a formula for the X^nth term only. Anyone any ideas?

This looks too familiar (not in a good way)... I'm not touching arithmetic progression this time...

Isn't this just a basic sequence? ..I really haven't done sequences in a looong time

To evaluate just plug x2 in i.e. (2/(2+2) and x3 (3/3+3) etc

For part 2, just write out the sequence and write any arbitrary formula that fits the scenario for the result according to the appropriate variable.

I might likely be wrong and I remember there's probably more to this, but I can't remember what.

You could let K=1 giving Xk+1 = 2 and then try to rearrange maybe.

Yes I CANT write out a random formula for the sequence I dont know how! The sequence is 1,1/3,7/9,175/81

Its not homework im practicing but I find it hard deriving a formula for the nth term the induction I can do easily just making the formulas is difficult :\

read your book and look up some Khan videos on series and sequences, because if you're stuck on this you're gonna get fkn REKT on McClure and Taylor.

gimme a sec I haven't done this in like a year I can't just pump this out

I can already tell it looks like we're going to have either something start at a 0 or ^n-1

the denominator is simple, thing is, this jumps from 7 to 175, and the next power up jumps to 196 fff

SHIT! I made a simple mistake........... the sequence is actually 1,1/3,1/7,1/15........... Sorry........ Brain is fried........ maybe now ill try think of a formula

No one can derive a formula? ok

It was really easy. You really only had to use basic algebra and have the guts to not be so lazy :P
