As many of you may already know, they are making a "newer" version of the game Rust. After looking at all the improvements and implementations what do you guys think the specs will be to run the new version?

Now, you know what you can expect from these barbarians. They are a race of rabid BASTARDS that will fight us tooth and nail! But they don't know what they're up against. Cyrodiil, is CIVILIZATION! Cyrodiil, is ORDER! Cyrodiil is POWER! And out here, WE. ARE. CYRODIIL.

Any rig with parts that were made in the last 6 years will handle it fine tbh.

Oh yes definitely. An r5 230 will definitely get 5fps on minimum settings. And its only a couple years old!

That's for the old version. Have you not seen what they have been doing with the game lately?

I'm guessing the recommended specs will be a GTX 650, 4gb of memory, and an i5 2500 for low settings

Hey i get like 2fps with my hd graphics...

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

And i would say recommended are

GTX 650-660/Radeon 7850-7870

8gb of memory

and a i5 of some sort, I would say 1150 socket

I meant something like an 8800GT or better.

 

That's for the old version. Have you not seen what they have been doing with the game lately?

 

And nope, i purchased it a while back, played for an hour and finally got fed up because of people speedhacking. Waiting for a final product tbh.

The thing is you said any rig with parts from the last 6 years would run it fine.

Obviously you have no idea that there are tons of low end parts coming to market every year that would NOT be able to play it fine.

 

Age has nothing to do with a PC's ability to run a game or not.

Obviously you have no idea that there are tons of low end parts coming to market every year that would NOT be able to play it fine.

 

Age has nothing to do with a PC's ability to run a game or not.

Aye, i'm aware of the low profile cards which have been made, but what i meant is anyone who built a gaming rig in the past 6 years should be alright.
