and all have warranty


mobo - msi z77a gd55
gpu - crossfire saphire 280x toxic
psu - seasonic 1200w xp3 ss platinum full modular
ram - 16gb whatever (bit i'll probably end up buying something good like kingston corsair or g.skill)
cpu - i7 sandy or ivy (probably ivy 3770k)
case - corsair graphite 230t
cpu cooler - cm hyper 212 evo

suggestions?

A 1200W psu is way over the top. You only need 750W for 280X crossfire.

 

I hope you are getting a really good deal on the cpu/motherboard, as you are buying into a dead socket.

What are you talking about ? The system will only pull what it requires. The psu is more than needed, but it won't affect how the pc runs.

You're giving yourself wattage you don't need and can't use. There really is no point.

Well, with two 780tis and something like an i5, you're going to be drawing maybe 850w max, with stuff overclocked.  If you can find a good 850w power supply for cheaper, then you can save some money there.

 

There's nothing wrong with a 1200w power supply, but we're just trying to save you some money in the PSU department so that you could get better parts in different areas of the computer for better performance.
