Price Performance I would say Samsung Evo 840. I have that one installed in multiple systems.

Intel 4790k | Asus Z97 Maximus VII Impact | Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 16 GB 1866Mhz | Asus Strix GTX 980 | CoolerMaster G550 |Samsung Evo 250GB | Synology DS215j (NAS) | Logitech G502 |

I like the Kingston HyperX 3K, 240 GB. Honestly, 16 GB, doesn't make much of a difference. I like the looks of it though, unlike the Corsair which has the sticker on it, a the crucial is somewhere in between.

the iops of the hyperx 3k is surprisingly low so idk

Between your two it would be the MX100. The Corsair LX is their lower end drive series and has a lesser controller chip than Crucial's Maxell one.

Sir William of Orange: Corsair 230T - Rebel Orange, 4690K, GA-97X SOC, 16gb Dom Plats 1866C9,  2 MX100 256gb, Seagate 2tb Desktop, EVGA Supernova 750-G2, Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3, DK 9008 keyboard, Pioneer BR drive. Yeah, on board graphics - deal with it!

Crucial uses Marvell

And yes, siliconmotion is a inferior controller to mx100s. 4 channel design vs 8 channel tells alot.

The "best" is too subjective. Everyone here is going to have a different answer. The actual "best" one would be one from a reputable company bought through a reputable retailer at an affordable price.

Reputable manufacturers include OCZ, Corsair, Kingston, ADATA, Samsung, Crucial, and I know I'm forgetting another company but these people are some of the reputable brands.

Reputable retailers are Amazon, NCIX, Newegg, and TigerDirect.

This is the one I have and it's not too expensive.

I get 60 frames at 1080p on a dual core APU. Ask me how.

AMD FX 8350 CPU / R9 280X GPU / Asus M5A97 LE R 2.0 motherboard / 8GB Kingston HyperX Blue 1600 RAM / 128G OCZ Vertex 4 SSD / 256G Crucial SSD / 2T WD Black HDD / 1T Seagate Barracude HDD / Antec Earthwatts 650W PSU / Coolermaster HAF 922 Case

Dammit! I stared at that, knowing something was wrong but also knowing Maxell is a perfectly fine company.

Thnx
