Hyper 212 EVO Fan Troubles

Go to solution Solved by Aniallation,

Close to two years now I think. Long enough for me to forget how long it's been.

Yeah then I wouldn't be surprised if the fan's going bad.

The fan on my Hyper 212 EVO is acting up. It spins slowly and makes a vibrating sound when it's trying to spin as if it's getting stuck. I can spin it manually but it stops as if it's getting stuck, but there is nothing blocking the blades from spinning. I feel like it's something wrong with the bearings? I don't know really anything about fans so I have no idea. Is it fixable or is the fan done for? Otherwise I am going to have to use a stock cooler until I can get a replacement fan.

Maybe the wiring is getting in the motion of the fan(s) blades.

Nah that's not it. The fan spins smoothly when I spin it slowly but when I spin it faster it vibrates and stops. The same thing happens when it's trying to spin when the pc is on. Speeds up, vibrates and stops.

Then you might have a faulty fan. How long have you had the cooler?
