Just wondering what the benefits/drawbacks of different size radiators. For example, the NZXT x41 just beats the H100i in performance, despite its smaller size. Is there any benefit in going for the larger rad, if your case has the space, or is it more down to personal preference?

The X41 beats the H100i  because it's much thicker. You can basicly compare a rads cooling surfance (not necessarily cooling performance as that doesn't scale in a linear fashion) by multipling the length (in mm), the thickness (in mm) and the fpi.

It's not smaller. It may seem like it, but the surface area is greater than the H100i because 1) it is a 140mm radiator and 2) it is a thicker radiator

Fin density is also a factor, although I believe they are the same.

Then finally, the fans. 120mm fans will have greater static pressure than 140mm fans. Plus there are two of them. Two 120mm fans are usually louder though than a single 140mm fan.

H100i not H110i

Cheers for the quick replies. So I guess the question at the heart of this is- if you have two systems (take the NZXT x41 and H100i), that have comparable performance at the same price, which would be the better option. Is it purely down to personal taste, or are there additional benefits of a larger radiator that I am missing?
