Hello,

About 10 years ago i bought a pc and i was all into the hardware and software scene. Now my PC died and i am on the market for a new one but i have no idea what is good and what is not. I don't even remember very well where to start. I know what i want to do with it though. I want to be able to play all the newest and upcoming games on there highest settings and stay cool while doing it. Literally cool. I play all kinds of games and i am planning on playing in 3d too so i need the specs and monitor to match those needs. Instead of just grabbing the most expensive stuff right away i want to know what is usefull and what is just stuff to make a product sell. For this rig i have around 2800 USD and thats excluding any good monitor and headset.

Anybody able to guide me to some kind of direction?

Cheers  :)

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ddY26h This is a pretty monster machine. This will pretty much destroy anything, and definitely put you into 4k range with older games.

Are you willing to watercool? If not would you be willing to at least watercool your CPU with a closed loop like an H100i?

I'd recomend Noctua fans and ONLY Noctua fans if both water cooling options are a no. Telling where the PC will be located and what climate you live in would also be a huge help.

Here it is. For 2800$, with this system, you're going to have an amazing experience in all the current and upcoming games, even at 1440p!

If you can't find the be quiet Dark Rock 3 in your country, you could get the Noctua NH-U14S.

Just throwin my two cents in-http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Qj9RwP

Its a little more expensive that the first few posts, but it has a newer board,a different case, and a different cooler (everyone uses the R4, so I thought i'd mix it up a bit. But if you like the R4, go for it).

And if you want to throw a second card in, there is still room in the budget.

Play time is Ogre.

Thanks for all the reactions guys :D

Yes i am all up for watercooling as long as it fits inside my budget :)

And when we talk about R4 or not... then what are we talking about exactually? As i said i have to get back into the stuff and everything is newer better and has way more stuff in comparison to 10 years ago :P

And how does it work with 2 cards? i've heard good and bad stories on how it works. From what i can see the Gtx 780Ti is the way to go right now but is there for instance somethinf new and nicer in the pipelines coming our way to be released right around now..
Last time i bought a pc the grafic cards just didn't stop coming around the time i wanted to buy with better things always right there. Eventually i ended up with the 8800 ultra which was awesome till it broke and got replaced :P

I was talking about the R4 because I had a different case in my list, the Enthoo Pro, a reall nice case, it has great cooling and even a psu cover and its just $100. But the R4 also has pretty decent cooling, but has great sound dampening. And dont be afraid to run two cards, its something people do quite often today and is a refined experience from when the feature was first avalible. Also with the Switftech H220x, not only can you cool you cpu, but if you want in the future, you can hook up a loop to your graphics cards, given you have the GPU blocks and tubing. And lastly, the 800 series GPU is slated to be annouced/ released next september. So you can wait for that, or you can just get the really nice 780Ti Windforce. The new series will be better in the power consumption and heat department, and it will perfrom somewhere in between the 780, and the 780 Ti. I cant tell you thats 100% ture because its all speculation. But it all seems promising.

Play time is Ogre.
