My Dell Computer is Beeping. HELP

Crazy_guy_757

Idk what the issue is. And the motherboard is a Dell REV A02 (I think)

Beep Pattern: 1 beep, pause, 3 beeps, pause, than 2 beeps

Does anyone know what the issue is?

Also Here is a picture of the motherboard ---> http://imgur.com/4baetD1

Thanks in advance.

This means the bios chip has died, you'll need to either RMA your board to have the BIOS chip replaced or buy a new motherboard.

I'd suggest you look into the Manuel for the computer.

What does Manuel have to do with this?  Which Manuel are you talking about?

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Couldn't they just send him the freaking BIOS chip?  Also I thought I heard of people getting blank chips and then writing a BIOS to them.  Am I wrong?

The old BIOS chip will have to be carefully removed & the new one carefully soldered to the motherboard.

You'll need appropriate soldering equipment and skill to do that.

Also soldering anything to the motherboard immediately voids the warranty.

You're probably better off replacing the motherboard, although good luck with a dell.

Are you still in warranty, so you can send it back to them?

Edit; Just looked at the picture, jesus christ that's a mess.

:/

I've misspoken so far, apologies.
The BIOS ROM is fine, one of your RAM modules is either faulty or installed incorrectly.

1-3-2 64KB RAM failure The test of the first 64KB RAM has failed to start

Give your chassis a good cleaning, then uninstall the memory modules and reinstall them again, could be the dust accumulation that's causing the issue.
