Hello.

Due to my graphics card dieing im on a very tight repair budget

What gpu can you recomend for +-135$ (from 120$ to 150$)

I have an intel core 2 quad Q6600 and 4gb of ram

My mobo has a x16 pcie slot

I have a 540w psu

I'd be going for second hand parts. Saving moneys, or spending more for Oldschool GPU power.

Like the Beasts of oldendays that play current games in 1080p still

5850/5870/6870/6950/6970 or GTX 460/560/560Ti/570/660/660Ti/750ti

Anything over these above, and your wasting money.. Bottlenecks are real, and your GPU usage on a brand new card like a 270x/760 would be way below 100% and be cause of issue/frustration.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

the r7 260x

the Q6600 will bottleneck anything more than that

So should i go for a 660 or a 660ti couse in my country a 750ti is 199$ so no go

660Ti is more powerful than the 660.

660Ti for the WIN.

For 1080p its a great card, performing between the 270-280 performance mark. altho with your CPU expect some more frequent FPS drops, but a nice average overall.

So what should i choose? 260/260x/650ti/660/660ti/750/750ti(reference cards are only one in the budget

660 Ti, it is the most powerful card there. It may bottleneck with your CPU in some titles, but you can use it in the future with a different CPU and board that won't bottleneck it.

660Ti , the most powerful is the obvious choice.

Depends on how much your willing to part with.. You could spend less, but of those cards you mentioned... their all good.

The fastest to slowest from that list are... at least I'm rpetty sure off the top of my head...

Fastest>Slowest

750Ti or 660Ti for 1st Place then 260x 660 750 260 650Ti

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

XFX, MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte or Sapphire. Which ever one of these five are the cheapest.

Any of them would be ideal, the cheapest option as long as it has a decent sized fan/heatsink on it for airflow.

Most of them would share the same specs, the cards don't get that hot, so cooling solutions don't need to be specific, any of them will do.

Used, you can get an R9-280/HD 7950 but check the auctions to see if they've been mined with and if so how long/hot and voltage.  New, R7-260x or if you're lucky a 265/270.

What you guys don't use € yet?

Actualy euro is coming this new year , but before we switch all the companies increase the already high electronic prices and not only them because when euro comes they want the prices to be like 2.55, 2.49 or etc.

And i think it will take at least a year for the prices to normalise and the price difference will be maybe from 5-15 euros compared to germany or any other big country with good electronic industry
