Who is supposed to benefit from this, is it for Linus or Luke, or for everyone?i

 

 

It benefits society to have a poll for our segment to compare to all the media's statements that this OS or hardware is dead or popular, we can see for ourselves if its true or close to our reality, even if our reality is only a segment of what they say is everyone (not that I believe them).

 

I'm just interested in the data and it's neat to see what kind of systems people are running.

The results chart is public so anyone can do whatever they want it & extrapolate their own conclusions etc.

 

Cool poll and hope you keep it alive, know it will take some work especially with the write in data, you can probably generalize it later into a specific poll count, maybe.

What's funny about this, is you see a LOT of people screaming 290>780 yet a lot more people have a 780...

Because everyone bought Nvidia GPUs during the whole bit-coing mining craze when AMD GPU prices were through the roof. :P

 

I'd have a GTX 760 in my rig if I hadn't gotten the 7950 at 40% off.

To the OP; You need to have PSU wattage listed at standard intervals. (300, 350, 400, 430, 450, 500, 550, etc...) Lots of people have ~650, 750, 850w PSUs.

 

Otherwise, very nice survey. Very comprehensive.
