Crossfire HELP?

Go to solution Solved by AlwaysFSX,

1. Yes

2. No

3. Yes, don't worry about it. 8x has more than enough bandwidth for these cards

4. Depends on how good the airflow is in your case. Generally it will get a few degrees hotter. If your cards start to heat up a lot then toss another fan in to your case as an intake.

Ok i am planning on buying another R9 280x sapphire Vapour-x GPU

But first i have some questions

1. Will 750w PSU be enough

2. Will my CPU bottleneck the cards

3. Will my mobo run the cards to the full potential.......(if anyone is kind enough pls could you explain how the different PCIe 16x slots work. I have a vague understanding)

4. Will it run hot in my case (I have the stock fans AND if so what fans should i get)

MY PC

CPU = i5 4670k

CPU COOLER = cooler master 212 evo

GPU = r9 280x sapphire vapour-x

PSU = corsiar 750w modular (I forget exact model number)

MOBO = MSI Z87 G55

CASE = Corsair Carbide 200r

3. Yes

4. You might want some more exhaust and intake fans. Corsair has some cheap and reliable fans. AF series for open spaces and SP for pushing air through restricted places (like drive cages). The case isn't exactly airflow friendly but it should do.
