I dunno, the Titan is an extra $400 on top of the 780's cost here...

yeah but I mean if you have enough money to fork out for the 780 then you can probably cope with the extra $300-400....

If I'd want to spend that much money (750-800euros) on a graphics card, I'd just pay the extra 200 for the Titan, I mean it's probably almost better bang for buck.

That being said I'd never spend more than 400-500euros on any component, it's just overkill. (for example 3930k: 500eur - 3970x: 1000eur for about 5% difference, that's just redonkulous)

Cooler Master 690 II Advanced - I5 2500K @ 4.5Ghz - Geil Enhance Plus 1750Mhz 8Gb - ASUS ENGTX 570 DCUII - MSI Z68aGD65 - Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B - Samsung 830 128gb and Crucial m4 128gb - much other stuff not worth mentioning

Australia's technology pricings always being absolutely ridiculous.

with the aussie dollar as strong as the US dollar, why are we paying so much more?

Newegg has it for $660

why we paying over $100 more than america? if its shipping that's ridiculous, the cards aren't made in america..

I hope the prices go down.. enough to make it worth the price..

The price difference, if anyone hasn't figured it out, comes down to economics. I won't bore people with technical details, because some of it I barely understand. But it comes down to the Economy, Cost of Living, and Wages in Australia. The better, and higher things are the more things will cost.

Same old same old, we are getting extreme prices in Australia again, oh well. Though man people are fast to buy Nvidia cards, PCCG already out of stock on some models.

Completely agree with you, sometimes the top tier stuff isn't worth it. Though we I was building my rig I went with a HD 7970 instead of a HD 7950 because I believe the price difference was like ~$50, so I didn't mind.

YIKES!!!, damn I thought Oz was bad, damn what a rip off.

Yep expensive.

I went for the 7950 as on special I got it for same price as 7870XT :)
