Open it up and dust it out with a compressed air can.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. The True Path of the Feathered One. ~ Dimboble-dubabob III

If you're not comfortable opening it up you don't really need to. Just spray some in the exhaust port.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

I wouldn't actually do that unless you can keep the fan from spinning. You can easily kill the fan control circuit by running the fan fast in reverse

Just use a compressed air can and blow a little at a time in the exhaust, 1 second max, wait until the fan slowed down, do it again.. etc..

If the dirt is in the keyboard, you can remove the keys, but be careful to not break them. If you mean on the casing itself, just use any type of cleaning product(or 99% alcohol) and clean it, do not put anything on the screen itself though, get a bottle of screen cleaning product for that, they last for like 10 years. (bought mine 7 years ago, haven't used half of it yet)

Okay.

1. DO NOT EVER CAUSE FANS TO SPIN UP (Sound like a turbo) BY COMPRESSED AIR OR AIR COMPRESSOR.

Having worked in a computer repair shop and cleaned thousands of laptops and desktops, you WILL screw up most fans sooner or later by blowing air on them and causing them to spin up. I learned that the hard way several times. If you must, do in very very short bursts, never enough for the fan to sound like a turbojet.

2. Pull off the "easy" panels. Usually for HDD, Memory, Wireless. Sometimes your computer's whole bottom comes off with 4 screws. If you can do that and easily reach the fan that way, clean it that way.

3. If not, use a toothpick or some other non-conductive item to prevent the fan from spinning. Blow. Then let the fan move a slight bit (by light air, or by itself) and blow again.

4. If your computer has an intake port below the cpu, blow here as well

5. Bring it to an independent repair shop. and pay $40-60 for them to clean. (This is really not a bad investment really....heat can kill your computer)
