A friend has the same keyboard and doesn't enjoy using red switches for typing. He's a pretty heavy user so he bottoms out pretty hard and he says it can even make his fingers hurt.

Why not wait for RGB? I hear they have reds blues and browns (might only be k95 tho)

You should try going to bestbuy if you have one. They always have gaming keyboards out to sample. One of them are the Razer Blackwidow (blue) and another is some logitech gaming keyboard that has browns. Even better if you have Fry's (which is most unlikely) because they have a variety of them

for around 30ish more you can get a ducky shine 3. i've used the k70, and own the shine 3, and can honestly say it is worlds better (biased)

This only happens with the silver and blue K70 for some reason. Never herd of anyone's black and red K70's having to be RMA'd.

Yes this is true, that's why you don't see the gunmetal k70 version in stock anymore.
