Cheat Engin

I have been using Cheat Engine on steam to more then 4x my download speeds for the past year but suddenly when i enable speed hack it closes steam with no errors or any thing. Any one know why please cause without cheat engine working on steam i only download at about 300Kbs. but if i have it working i can get to like 1.5Mbs... please help i need better download speed :'(

Cheat engine would not increase your download speed. You maximum download speed is a fixed rate set by your ISP. The only thing it may be doing is changing the value that appears however the time it takes to actually download all of the data would not change.

no my parents do care so i found cheat engine to help me download faster... and yes cheat engin dose speed up steam downloads just open cheat engine select Steam.exe and Enable Speed Hack and set it as 0.5 then Apply. and you can even use it to speed up the connection of a Minecraft server using the same steps :)

Cheat Engine = fake. It can't change the maximum download speed set by your ISP, as mentioned above. The only thing it can do is tell you you are downloading faster than you really are

omg i have been using it for a year now i would think i would know if it wasn't really speeding up my downloads -_- and me and my friends spent a hole night testing it on my minecraft sever and found they got a much better connection

Did you try reinstalling Steam by completely removing the leftover registry keys with CCleaner? I don't think Cheat Engine will give you better downloading speeds. Have you tried checking with your firewall/antivirus that Steam is actually downloading at that rate?

If cheat engine makes Steam GUI operate faster, that may be true.

If your downloading NOT AT FULL speed, it may provide a faster download.

 

If your Internet LINE is maxed out at 1.4Mb/s, no matter what you do, you will not get faster than 1.4Mb/s

i have tride re downloading steam and stuff but its not working on any program so im thinking it could be a error with Cheat Engine
