RAID 0, its so much trouble I have every computer (workstation) in RAID 0, such an issue not one has failed and that's with HDD's since 2007.

You only get issues if you do braid dead things like power your computer off at random or get a hammer and beat on the drive, ok maybe if you throw thumb drives in the case it will also cause havoc.

In closing, its such a bad thing every motherboard chipset includes it, I guess your mobo manufactures want you to have issues

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

I think most people that talk shit about RAID0 are ones that have never used it or did not set it up correctly.

I used 2 120's in RAID 0 on my work PC.  A few weeks ago I was in a conference call and my machine started throwing errors.  Some sort of unhandled exception window that kept popping up, so I finished out the meeting with an error message up, and once I clicked OK my PC bluescreened.  Turns out one of my drives had died.  Now I won't use that configuration on my work PC, but will on my gaming PC.

Moral of the story, evaluate your use case and decide if the risk is worth the possible problems.

So when you go to a single drive (non-RAID) and that fails will you then stop using drives all together?

No, the point is you increase the chance of this happening when using 2x drives.

Wow, can't wait to see what you do if your processor or GPU goes belly up.

I'd recommend 1, technically 2x 120GB drives depending on what ones you get might be faster but if you get one 250GB drive you can get another later on and raid 0 them.

I've had raid 0 for a while now, no problems at all.

Of course, Raid 0 or not you still HAVE to make as much backups.
