Weirdest noise from PC

So yesterday my pc was idle nothing going on besides screen saver, and sounded like my CPU fan ramped up to max and just sat there, temps were fine RPM looked normal but it made a loud noise. might be PSU fan but sounds like its CPU doesnt look different. So i rebooted and it went away. now today i opened up one of my HDD games and it made a weird noise went i opened it up like it was spinning super fast. these are two different things but could my PSU be giving them too much power and making this awful noise?

Wait, first of all, did I understand that right? You opened your hard drive and heard noise? Because hard drives spin super fast.

Current Rig: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, Abit IN9-32MAX nForce 680i board, Galaxy GT610 1GB DDR3 gpu, Cooler Master Mystique 632S Full ATX case, 1 2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA and 1x200gb Maxtor SATA drives, 1 LG SATA DVD drive, Windows 10. All currently runs like shit :D

usually my HDD makes a quick spin noise that im used to, today it made a super loud almost grind like noise and kept doing it, it didnt stop at all. now my cpu isnt making noise after reboot and neither is HDD after opening and closing programs over and over... weirdest thing ive experienced since build day
