Varies chip to chip in terms of how much voltage is required to overclock to a certain frequency so we can't really help you there. I can just recommend not going over 1.3v. That's what I've heard is the max.

Just try taking your CPU and cache voltage off auto and just increase the multiplier till it crashes add voltage till it doesn't crash so long as it's under 1.3v and repeat.

Depends on how it crashes...

You should be doing more research about computers and overclocking before trying to overclock or you could seriously damage your components.

It's a definite possibility. Please, like every one else said, research quite a bit more before you overclock. When you start overclocking, I personally recommend you not mess with the voltage, and only go by a very simple guide that shows you how to notch up the frequency by a small amount, as opposed to trying to get every bit of performance you can. A 4790k is an excellent CPU, in most things I doubt you'll even notice the slightest difference in performance. So please, do quite a bit more research on this stuff before you overclock, you could potentially ruin that ~$340 CPU, and even other expensive components if you're not careful. :)
