What sweep? and they are real pedals, what do you consider real ones if those are fake?

EDIT: I think it's pretty much personal preference, and that 'sweep' is pretty common. What do you prefer?

having loads of sweep can be detrimental to bike handling. I have never ridden a bike with bars like that, that felt truly stable. But yes it is in some ways personal preference. Pedals like that tend to have fuck all grip, even cheap wellgos will be better than that.

They are a bit heavy but pretty much indestructible and decent ones have grip for days. Slipping of a pedal due to wet weather is never a good thing and plastic flats give you pretty much no grip aswell as having a really small platform which is not that great for power transfer.

Yeah I understand, but I'm not really worried about it.  What's wrong with the kickstand though

They can fall down when you don't want them to, safety hazard.

And let's be real here, who cares about kickstands

Actually... I care a bit about kickstands. My bike had some really loose ones that could only hold the bike upright on a totally flat surface, plus they were a bit on my feet's way, so I removed them.

Maybe not a safety hazard, but weak / bad kickstands help nearly nothing, so better to not have one than have a bad one.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

True, I'm actually just worried about looks. I'm not even sure if it looks good

Not sure if talking about the kickstand or the whole bike...

If it's the former, it's up to you. If it's the latter, then... All that matters on a bike that it just works and is a viable option for transportation.

The whole bike, I'm pretty sceptical about what other people think

But, I like the bike and it's very comfortable. atleast MUCH better than my mountain bike

IMO it doesn't look bad. At least it's a men's bike...

I only ride my bike (half-mountain bike? It just has front suspension, 21 gears and it's good off-road and on asfalt) when I need to get from place to place ASAP (so that leads to me cycling as fast as I possibly can. I rarely move slowly on a bike). If it's not that big of a hurry, I'll just run. Much easier to hide from these local asshole teenagers without a 26" bike.

Hmm, fair enough.

Hub brakes aren't all too common in the UK, seen maybe 1 in the 3 years I've volunteered at a bike shop.

Well... As long as the bike works wonders, that's all that should be cared about it.

Why would they put a girl seat on a mens bike

i have no idea but shorter seats like that are specifically designed for females.

Yeah but you can see that this model doesn't really fit together with the bike, so it's done on purpose. I don't see those seats very often either

you can think what you like, but i used to be really into bikes before i got a car, and that is a woman's seat. it will still work fine. it just won't be optimal over long distances, but judging by the type of bike you have, it shouldn't bother you too much. :P

I believe that, but a mens seat wouldn't really fit on this bike in that case. As I said, I don't see those men seats you mentioned a lot either

hydraulic discs are best though :P hydraulic rim brakes are pretty cool as well but they are very rare.
