For 1080p, if you don't care about maxing everything you play the R9 270 or R9 270X is good enough.

If you don't mind spending more to be able to run possible upcoming heavy titles, the R9 280X has enough juice.

XFX, Sapphire, MSI, Gigabyte, Powercolor, Club3D and Asus have very good good cards.

Sorry, and 1 last question.

Is it possible for my CPU to bottleneck the GPU?

I'm using an i5 3570k

Hell no that's fine - other really good versions are the gigabyte windforce and power color pcs+

I was thinking.

R9 290

Overclocking it

Use VRM heatsinks (http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?name=FAN-ICY2900

the NZXT G10 and X41 Kraken.

Thoughts?

That would cost much more than you should spend on a 290

Yeah I suppose it is more expensive. I planned on watercooling the 280x, so moving it to the 290 isn't too bad.

I was just reading your signature and thinking I have a parcel on the way from fedex - And sure enough these asshole's sent the wrong thing.

Yeah. I'm not a fan of FedEx. I hope I receive my check from them today and they end up delivering my destroyed computer back today. I hopefully can salvage parts from it. I'm thinking the CPU, SSD, ram and power supply will work fine. MB, my Radeon 6850, case and sound card took a beating.

Just bought a new monitor lastnight.

Moving across the US is expensive.
