small high end smartphone?

Hey guys,

So a friend of mine is searching for a new phone and i told him to go m8 or g3 but he looked at both and said they are just too huge.

Are there any other high end phone with a smaller screen? Like ~4".

Location is germany.

Was personnally thinking about moto x or so right now but not sure if its available here.

Edit: oh well, thats also 4.7" ^^

I know HTC has a smaller version of the One (HTC One M8 Mini, also called the Mini 2) - I'm not sure how big the screen is but I would guess ~4.5"

Other than that the only thing I can think of is an iPhone (not the new ones coming that are supposedly going to bigger, just the current 5S)

Well i dont really like mini version because they are mostly cut down 3 gens behind.

The Z1 Compact is actually the same size as Moto X but with smaller display, and both of these are approximately the same length with the iPhone 5/5S (iPhone being slightly narrower). The only high end 4 inch device would be the iPhone 4S. This is the sad predicament for customers who actually want smaller, ergonomic, yet powerful device. If your friend can somehow cope with the Z1 Compact or Moto X's size, they are the best Android has to offer in a small package. On the other hand, you have the iPhone.
