I want suggestions for PC

jedylan

I have a 3200$CAD Buget for my PC, everything must be included in the price, I will order the parts online. I also Plan to upgrade Ram and Graphics Card to SLI in the future.

This PC will be used for Video, Photo and Sound Editing primarily(With the Adobe Suite), but I will also game on it(Assassin's Creed Series, Battlefield 4).

I need a new monitor (or more than one, depends on size and price of the monitor) since I have a cheap 21.5"

I will need a new OS, I love Windows 7 and hate Windows 8 (wich my girlfriend has) I had in mind to maybe upgrade to Windows 9 when it gets out

I plan to buy the corsair K70RGB and M65RGB but you can suggest something else

For the case I am looking for a sturdy, professional looking case with a window (I was currently looking at The Fractal R4 Blackout and Phantecks Enthoo Pro)

I am upgrading from a 500$ rig wich does not have the power to edit Full HD video.

I already have my own part list(http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/jedylan/saved/ytfmP6) but I want to know what you guys come up with (preferably pcpartpicker lists).

Do you live near the border?

What monitor size do you want? One or two?

Do the peripherals need to be included in the price?
Do you need a new OS?

Maybe show us your parts list so we have an idea of what you think is cool. Things like cases are very personal and hard for us to gauge ourselves.

Generally speaking, programs like Autocad, Aftereffects, or an audio editing program will work much better with a Cuda based GPU. So I would argue that it is in his best interest to get a Nividia card

yes

Alright just making sure because if you didn't I would say the PSU is a little bit to big.

What software are you using?

Do you need Firewire?

With that kind of budget, I would get a better case, something like the enthoo primo or something

Are you set on Windows 7? I just want to make sure that you know it will officially be loosing support for updates come the end of the year. It will still receive security updates but no patches.

@jedylan,

The H100i is not a comfortable fit in the R4 with motherboards that have a high heatsink at the "top". If you are looking for a quiet system consider using an Noctua NH-U14S air tower instead.

I am not a fan of replacing all fans in a system before one even knows how noisy stock is going to be. It is a significant expenditure that can easily be made at a later time should it prove necessary.
