Desktop for grandparents

So,I'm reusing my old desktop parts to make this.

I need a GPU,a monitor,some speakers,keyboard and a mouse.

They won't be doing much on it,so it must be cheap. (max $250-300)

I assume they won't be gaming, so do you need a discrete GPU?

Just use onboard that'll be plenty, 4-8gb of RAM, a 500GB HDD, they don't even need a HD monitor, or a big one. You can also get mouse keyboard combo for cheap anywhere

I had given them one. I just gave them a Core 2 Quad and I didn't even bother to give them a GPU. But still it works like a charm with 4GB of ram and 250GB of HDD :)

Something exactly like this would be perfect for browsing the net and even films IF they used Netflix or something.

No.But the CPU inside my old desktop doesn't have integrated GPU.And getting a new mobo + cpu would increase the cost.

Lemme give you the specs of my old PC :

AMD Athlon x2 64 5000+ @3.2GHz (or 3.4,can't remember correctly)

No-name PSU,no wattage rated (it supported my 560  for 2 years so it's good enough)

360GB Seagate Barracuda

An Asus mobo(idk which one)

And that's pretty much it.

I'd say, buy an APU, (hoping you have a mobo for that) a small 19" monitor from AOC (trust me, they're really good. I have a monitor from them), some cheap keyboard  mouse combo ( Microsoft) creative speakers, (if they're available) That's it!

a cheap AMD APU probably?

It's an AMD CPU from 2006/2007.

It's pretty good actually. (read my updated post)

And an APU is not an APU without the graphics side of it. D:

I also could get a new monitor and give them my current one.

I see, well just throw in the cheapest GPU you can find. Something like a GT 610 or whatever.

How? It doesn't have ONBOARD GPU (not on CPU)?

some mbs does (my socket A (462) mb does have onboard for example)

Well if not then just get the cheapest GPU (This or a GT 610)

Nope.I have no VGA/DVI/whatever on my mobo I/O.It was the year 2007!
