What's your location? Newegg and Amazon are always a good bet for USA.

MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte, Sapphire are all good brands, they all feature different cooling types and some differences in speeds. If you are at a loss, I will sometimes just look for those that have the most reviews, and start there. If you are just watching videos and web browsing, you could probably go with a lower-end card for 4K. If you plan on gaming, you honestly need two if you want "semi sorta decent" fps.

Look up "model number + review" in google for ones you find that are in your pricerange, and see reviews.

Finally, only get aftermarket coolers. These usually have 2 or more fans on it, rather than the stock single blower-style. They run too hot and loud with the blower.

as above, you will need to grab more than one to get decent fps on the top end games.

Yeah i agree! Although I would then grab two 290 non X cards. That way you save about 200 bucks, but don't lose that much performance compared to two 290Xs.

One card is just not enough for 4k gaming at the moment. Even the 295X2 is working hard to get 60fps 4k.

PC: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 || Noctua NH-U12S SE2 || 32GB DDR5 6000 CL32  ||

2x 290x card in CF will not get 60fps in almost every modern game that has come out in recent times. Really @ 4K you would just be looking to stay above 30fps which is dog shit performance and would make me run back to 1080P in a heart beat LOL.

So one card will be enough right to 4k at least on high no need for ultra

Ya you can do it for sure. Just don't expect optimal performance and graphical settings. If you are ok with trading performance and graphics for the amazing increase in image clarity/resolution then that is your own prerogative. Remember you should be able to save some performance and run low to no AA because the increase in resolution with hide that jaggies.

For now I will buy one

But if you know another card that's great in 4k with the same price

You may want to buy one with an aftermarket cooler. That stock cooler is HOT and LOUD.

Believe me, I sold mine 1 week after getting it because I couldn't stand the noise - could hear it across the house.

Grap one of the 2 sapphires

Sapphire 290x VaporX

Sapphire 290x Tri X OC.

In my opinnion these are the best 290X cards arround, they are the fastest, but also the most quiets.

They also run the coolest, on the lowest fan speeds.

You could also look for the 290 VaporX or 290 TriX OC, allot cheaper then a 290x, but in terms of gaming performance not much of a diffrence between a 290 and 290x

Hi

I'm thinking to get r9 290x for my 4k monitor

BUT

when I search for this gpu r9 290x there's too many types of em and I'm not sure which one to get

And good website to buy it

So kindly any expert would help me

Thanks in advance

If you're only getting one card then definitely the 290x, but I would take a long hard look at how it will perform going forward. I'd personally get a 290 non-x and put the money saved into a second 290 fund.

As for 290x (and 290) designs the best are the Vapour-x, Tri-X and PCS+. The lightning version by MSI is also great, but is a lot more costly.

True, but you pay much less when getting two 290s instead of a 295X2, but get similar performance.

Oh so AMD makes you pay $400 extra for no extra performance and I/O doesn't bat an eye

Nvidia makes you pay $150 for %10-%15 extra performance and he loses his mind

Well you see here in lies the problem. The 780ti is not even in the same tier, bracket or performance category as the 295x2. The 295x2 need to be compared to the TitanZ ... a card that costs $3000 grand LOL. Lets compare apples to apples here.

I am not comparing the 780 ti to the 295x2, I am comparing price/performance which you always seem to complain about with the Nvidia cards. The price/performance of the 295x2 isn't that great since CF 290x costs $1100, and is the same thing once you overclock them. Compared to the 295x2 where it costs $1500 for the same performance.

Lets compare apples to apples dual GPU card to dual GPU card. The 295x2 comes factory liquid cooled and is half the cost of the TitanZ which it out performs. If you are looking at best price performance you are not looking at dual GPU cards.
