I was wondering if anybody who has a Corsair Carbide 500R could tell me their fan setup and help me improve my airflow to lower the temps on my graphics card which is an ASUS GTX780 DC2-OC.

 

My current setup is the stock fans on the front and side intakes, two Antec 120mm fans in the top as an exhaust and one in the bottom as an intake, a Corsair H90 with two 140mm Akasa Viper high flow fans in push pull out the back as an exhaust. I have also removed the top HDD bay to help airflow and have my pc on top of a desk and give it regular cleans so it's relatively dust free inside.

Well, you have negative air pressure and airflow inside your case, because you have about 3-4 fans as exhaust, and only 1 as intake. 

You should mount one or two fans in the front of the case, that should help a little bit.

Also, do you have your PSU with the fan up or down?

Since you're already following the standard 'rules', front-bottom-side intake and top-rear exhaust there's not much you can do. What I've seen work in similar cases for 3-8 degrees lower GPU is more direct airflow to the GPU in combination with good top exhaust fans to remove heat from the case as fast as possible.  You could invest in one or two good direct airflow fans like Noctua NF-F12's, they would better direct air to the GPU than the 200mm fan. Plus some good 140mm in the top. 

 

Don't waste money on the IPPC version of the Noctua's unless you're willing to run them at the 2000/3000RPM they allow.

Thanks for your replies.

 

It's good to hear that I have set it up correctly with my current hardware, I guess I will have to get some better fans. I'll probably hold off on the fan controller at the moment as I have just remembered I have ASUS Fan Xpert 2 which I'll try first.

 

Are there any other decent 120mm & 140mm fans with a decent airflow you could recommend? I know the Noctua fans are one of the best on the market but they look sooooooo horrible...
