For an extra £20 you could've had an i5 instead of that AMD furnace, it would run moderately faster and a lot cooler. That 850 Evo is a fantastic SSD, but if you have a 2TB HDD then you definitely don't need a 250GB SSD, could've got a 120GB one for less, without affecting performance. DDR3 RAM is so cheap now you could easily throw in another 8GB.

Lastly I'm curious, how is that 770 holding up for running current games, since most current-gen cards have 4GB+ of memory?

My specs:

CPU - i5 4690 3.4GHz using stock cooler

Mobo - MSI H97M-G43 mATX

RAM - 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro Red 1600MHz

GPU - MSI R9 290 4GB

Case - Corsair Air 240 (Going to change this for an Obsidian 450D at christmas most likely)

Storage - Samsung 850 Evo 120GB SSD, WD Green 2TB HDD

PSU - SeaSonic S12G Gold 650W

Monitors - BenQ RL2455HM 24" 1080p 60Hz, LG Flatron M2262D 22" 1080p 60Hz

Keyboard - Corsair K70 with Cherry MX Red switches

Oh boy, if my current build is an 8/10, I wonder what my original parts list that had an HD 7850 instead would've got xD I learned my lesson the hard way: don't take part list advice from someone who doesn't use their PC to game, if you're going to game using your PC. This was my first build two years ago, so I didn't know much about PCs, and I just bought what I was told basically, so I have an AMD CPU because the friend I asked for advice is an AMD fanboy basically, but really it's not that hot. On my Hyper 212 EVO I have a 0.4GHz overclock, and under full 100% load on all cores it doesn't go above 55C in a warm room. The 850 EVO is a very recent purchase, the Corsair 60GB was the original boot drive, all of the hard drives bar the 1 TB WD one have been added over the last two years as I've acquired them. Considering getting more RAM, but I can't have all 4 slots because of the cooler blocking the 4th RAM socket, again, advice taken from a none gamer isn't great for gaming. The 770 does pretty well for 1080p 60Hz gaming. I struggle in a few titles (certain maps on insurgency see me down to 40FPS) but generally I don't play many brand new games anyway. The lowest I've ever had to go so far is a mixture of medium and low.

I will hopefully get a window for it this Christmas. I'm fine with it atm and it is my first build, but I do understand it is a tad small. I had to cut money somewhere though xD

Ooo one of my favorite cases, I was going to use the 750D but I heard through the grapevine there was going to be an ATX version of the Evolv. So depending on if your 750D is the new one where its a meshed front instead of the all brushed aluminum one then:

10 for the new meshed 750D

9.5 for the old 750D

:D
