No z97/z87 board? Budget? Get a better graphics card.

Here is my gaming Pc plan which I have atm http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/HFbddC. Have you got any advise about building the Pc or the actual set up itself?

If you want to overclock, get a Z87/Z97 board instead of the H87.

If you don't want to overclock, get a Xeon E3-1230v3 instead of the 4670K.

Also, EVGA 500B over CX500

Why not windows 8?

From what I've heard windows 8 isn't that good - and has a whole appy feel which I don't like.

That is fixed by installing a start menu app such as startisback it disables all the app crap if you want it to.

I always say the case is opinion. basically anything metal, from a decent company and affordable. otherwise pick whatever you like the look off.

I have the NZXT phantom 410 because I think it looks pretty cool and its also a great case. All the metal is quite cheap and its also pretty cheap

Well 8.1 is a lot better. Its faster, looks nicer, and mostly works better. It just comes down to personal preference.
