[Q] EK-D5 Vario X-TOP - Acetal

so i want to get the EK-D5 Vario X-TOP - Acetal pump but i was wondering is there some add-on which i could use to combo it with a RES, or am i stuck with choosing something like the EK-D5 Vario X-RES 140?

if you are asking yourself why doesn't he just get the EK-D5 Vario X-RES 140 then its simple, all the blocks that i have are Clean CSQ - Acetal the EK-D5 Vario X-RES 140 is not the Clean CSQ version so it won't fit aesthetically. Where as the D5 Vario X-top will.

or should i just a separate pump and res to make life easier?

i hope the question makes sense.. :P

For that top, nothing I can find really.  you can always just pop the res on top of it with a small extender fitting.  Are you partial to EK?  If not, the BP clear top and mod top w/res should be clear acrylic.

You can turn the EK-D5 Vario X-RES 140 180o then it will be clean CSQ with out the sticker and text. take a look in my build log if in doubt

no before looking at EK res's i was adamant on getting a Liquid Fusion reservoir but the fact that it uses cathode lighting threw me off, as for the whole top thing i might just do a separate configuration...

but wont that make the outlet on the back side towards the mobo tray?

On the EK-D5 Vario X-RES 140 there is two inlets and one outlet.

The outlet port is the one that is not recessed so that point towards the front of the case. i.e. on the right side of the pump top when installed, there is a inlet on the right side aswell.
on the left side ( the one the point towards the mobo tray) is the other inlet. both inlets are recessed.
