So I'm pretty new to building computers and such, I've built a few with help and my last build I did by myself but the parts were given to me. Now I'm building my own, on my own terms. I've nearly completed my build but there's a few things I would still like to get, Such as a Cpu Cooler. I'm currently running an AMD 8350 and would like to overclock it to 4.0GHz or higher. With that being said, I know this Cpu can get hot, thus the reasoning I want a Cpu cooler before I overclock. I've had a look around and was thinking about getting the 212 Evo but wanted a second opinion before buying. I prefer if it was Air cooled (a little scared to try water cooling). I would like to keep it under $100 but am wiling to pay more if need be. Any suggestions would be most appreciative!

As I said I would love to get a NH D15 or the Dark rock 3 but those are just to big, I would need something a little smaller.

The 212 Evo is fine for that. You should be shooting for 4.4ghz+ though.

^ this! or a dark rock 3 (non pro) if the clearance is okay. It is narrower than the dark rock pro 3.

I am currently using an AM FX-8320 CPU at 3.5GHz with an H80I push/pull liquid cooling setup,

Temps for me are:

While browsing web: 10-25 Celsius

Tomb Raider: 30-40 celcius

Planetside 2: 35-50 Celsius

Metro Last Light: 30-40 celcius

Arma 2/DayZ Standalone:  30-40 Celsius

The installation was pretty easy, and this was my first time ever installing a liquid cooled set up.
