Either for GPU's I hear EVGA has one of the best Warranty Service, though and that Asus could improve in some areas. Not sure though, haven't dealt with either.

Both are great.  Boils down to looks.  EVGA sometimes pushes the limits a little further with their in box over clock materials but it isn't something I usually pay for (over clock myself).  Boils down to looks a lot of the time.

With EVGA both having the no1 warranty/support and now that sexy ACX cooler that performs pretty well, I'm going to have to give it to EVGA.

ASUS do make excellent cards though, but I'm giving EVGA the edge because good customer service goes a long way and they have it in spades.

pros of companies

EVGA: FAR superior customer services(so better warrenty), tends to look better, higher clocks before overclocking, fancy goodies(a lot of their cards have nice stickers and badges or even posters which you can use if you want), normally cheaper then asus

Asus: Use of custom pcbs, their cooler is smaller and performs better,

Cons of companies

EVGA: Fans on the ACX cooler is louder then asus's fans, unless classified the card has a standard pcb.

Asus: On multiple experiences(4 in my case) asus has shameful customer service, premium pricetag(asus tend to be more expensive), their cooler is regarded as ugly, they have a big history of not seating coolers on the cards correctly resulting in massive temperature spikes, not sure about gpus but asus motherboards have the highest failure rate for multiple years.
